Welcome to the Ashley Ridge High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) program. Our goal is to provide your cadet with life skills in order to thrive and excel in school, and to become outstanding, responsible citizens and leaders in life after graduation. These are some of the most common questions we receive—and the answer is no, you are not required to join the military after participating in JROTC.
JROTC is a leadership development program that focuses on citizenship, character, service, leadership, teamwork, and personal responsibility. Students gain valuable life skills that prepare them for success in college, the workforce, military service, or whatever path they choose after high school.
